Terms
Last updated 4 October 2026
These terms apply to the Chroma app, chroma.pw and Plus. Using them means you accept these terms. What Chroma collects is on the privacy page.
What Chroma is
Chroma is an unofficial modification, made by one person, of a music app whose maker it is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to. You bring your own copy of the app and your own signing certificate, and you are responsible for having the right to use them. A modified app may go against the music service's own terms; using one is your decision.
Plus
- Plus is a monthly membership on Patreon. The current price is shown there.
- Plus starts once your Patreon membership is linked to your Chroma account and Patreon reports it as paid.
- You can cancel on Patreon at any time. Plus stays on until the end of the period you paid for.
- Payments, refunds and billing questions are handled under Patreon's terms.
- The app checks Plus with chroma.pw from time to time and works offline for up to 14 days between checks.
Fair use
An account is for one person. Sharing an account, passing on what unlocks Plus, or distributing builds with Plus unlocked can get the account blocked. Chroma's code is licensed under the PolyForm Strict License 1.0.0, which does not allow redistributing it or modified versions of it.
Changes and availability
Features can be added, changed or removed, in the free part and in Plus. An update of the music app can break parts of Chroma until a fix is out. chroma.pw and the services behind Plus are run on a best-effort basis, without a guaranteed uptime.
No warranty
Chroma is provided as it is, without warranty of any kind. As far as the law allows, its maker is not liable for damage from using it. Nothing here limits rights you have as a consumer under the law of your country.
Changes to these terms
Changes are posted on this page with a new date. Using Chroma or Plus after a change means you accept it. Czech law applies. Questions go to the Discord server.
